My name is Shyanne, everyone just calls me Shy.

I'm happily married to the best man in the world, and we have two beautiful fur babies, Arya Louise & Maggie May. Photography has always been a passion of mine growing up. My goal is to capture those beautiful life moments, so you can always have something to look back on years later. I look forward to you booking a session with me and capturing your special day

I’m a Norfolk Va based photographer, I have 10 years of experience with photography. I realized I wanted to be a professional photographer when I took a photography class back in high school. fast forward years later, I am FINALLY doing it! I am beyond thankful to have the support of my husband for me to pursue my dream as a photographer. I love seeing my clients get excited when I deliver their gallery to them. I use {Pixiset} to deliver all digital galleries. You will receive an email and text message from me notifying you you’re gallery has been emailed to you. You will also receive a download pin so you can easily download all your photos to your phone and device.

WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR SESSION!

 

  •  Layers of clothes for warmth 

  • Extra pair of shoes just in case we come across mucky weather and grass

  • Snacks

  • Makeup for touchups

  • Toys to distract kids to draw attention to the photographer to keep them happy and content. 

  • Bring any items you want to be included in the photos. (Blanket, Props, etc..)

To ensure that you have a sucessful session to make your vision come true 100%. Please scroll down, and read through my FAQ before booking your session. In my {WORK} galleries, you will find I have labeled each session’s location and time period of the day. That way you have an idea of which style session you are looking for, and to help with location ideas.

|Other things to note| The client is responsible for their own parking fees needed, gas, or permits that may be required for their session. The client is also encouraged to bring props, such as flowers, but is responsible for whatever props they would like to be included in the session.

FAQ’S

  • HOW LONG DOES THE SESSIONS TYPICALLY TAKE? - MY timeframes are very generous, Depending on how many locations you choose to book, and outfit changes. I would suggest to block out 3 hours of your day, but I have a posing guide I will go over with you, and I shoot quick. So don’t be surprised if we pack up sooner than 3 hours. I like to have my clients view some of the photos during a session on camera to make sure you are content with the outcome so far.

  • WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT? - The purpose of the deposit is to lock in your session date + time. If you cancel last minute, I most likely could have booked another client in you’re spot. I do not put anyone in my calender until the deposit has been paid.

  • WHEN DO I PAY THE REMAINDER? CAN I PAY ALL UPFRONT? - The remainder of your session + travel fee is due immediately following your shoot before we both depart. I accept CASH APP + VEMO. NO images will be delivered until the finial payment has been paid in FULL. My booking system is set up in two increments: DEPOSIT + FINAL PAYMENT.

  • LOCATION + TRAVEL FEES - Any session booked outside on Norfolk, VA, will include a travel fee of $30.00+ depending how far away from Norfolk. My set travel fee is $30.00 and will add on depending on $10.00 more than 15 miles.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS? - If the weather is not preemptible| if you are sick| If I am sick| an act of God. I will put your deposit toward a re-schedule. If you choose to not show up on the scheduled day or time, your deposit WILL NOT be refunded. If you want to reschedule your session, I need to be notified 14 days in advance, If you choose to cancel your session, NO you will NOT be refunded.

  • CAN I BRING A FRIEND TO SUPPORT ME? - Yes of course! Feel free to bring whoever you’d like to bring along with you to you’re session to make you feel comfterable, and cheer you on!

  • HOW + WHEN WILL WE RECIEVE THE FILES? - You will receive the files within 2 weeks of your session or sooner. You will receive them via email. I use Pixiset to deliver all my clients galleries. All my galleries are digital, You will receive a download PIN and you can easily download all your photos to your device. Please be sure to backup your photos after downloading them, I do delete each session from my harddrive within 30 days.

  • CAN I HAVE UNEDITED VERSIONS OR RAW FILES FROM MY SHOOT? - No.

  • WHAT IF WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE FINAL IMAGES? - I have never had a client tell me they were unhappy with my services in 10 years of photography. I make sure to have clear communication with my clients and go over all expectations set beforehand. If you have read my FAQ thoroughly and done all you can to prepare yourself for your session, including picking a location you love, an outfit you feel confident in, then this is the best way to ensure you will be happy with the final result.

  • WHAT IF WE DON’T WANT THE IMAGES USED ON YOU’RE SOCIAL MEDIA, WEBSITE, OR ANY ONLINE? - Please make it clear to me when first reaching out to me upon booking if this is the case, and the reason on why. The sole way I market my photography services(and how you found me!) It’s the internet I rely on sharing my photography to bring in customers. Therefore I do have a fee, If this is something you want waved, please inquire.

  • DO WE PICK WHAT IMAGES GO ON YOURE SITE| SOCIAL MEDIA? - No, any of the files I deliver to you could be shared online.

Wedding Bells Deluxe

  • This deluxe package includes an in-home session for you and your partner, or if you don’t want an in-home session, you can choose another location. This package books me for your full wedding day and one session of you and your soon-to-be spouse together.
